Helen was born in Hampshire, England, and has lived all over the world, from London to Paris, before finally settling in New York. Global clients learn about her clear RP (Received Pronunciation) accent and find it perfect for voice projects that will be heard the world over.

Helen started her career at the Consumers’ Association, where the need for excellent customer service was highlighted. She then moved on to public relations, working for one of the biggest PR companies in London.  Here she gained her client-focused skills – the importance of sticking to a budget and getting the job done yesterday!

About Helen’s Early Voice Over Career

Helen moved to the United States in 2007 and realized that her Queens English was in high demand for voice acting to all professional voice over requirements.  Helen has been voicing projects since 2011 and has had the pleasure of working with Fortune 500 companies and small businesses alike. Helens sultry Queens English accent was called on to record a promo for the hit BBC show Mistresses. This sexy prime-time show needed a sophisticated yet naughty voice to tempt the viewer to turn on and watch! Using a subtle whisper Helen enticed the BBC audience to tune-in to this saucy show!

The Gap

Recording tutorials for store managers and associates working at the Gap, Helen’s natural read was used to explain the do’s and don’ts of working for the store. This conversational e-learning project was used by The Gap’s HR department to introduce new employees to the rules and expectations of this international brand retail store. The subject matter ranged from opening and closing protocol to guidance on customer interactions.

HSBC

Hired by HSBC to record some online learning modules for staff around the globe, Helens trustworthy voice was perfect to give their corporate executives guidance on interacting with their most valuable customers. Her professional and sophisticated tone was instrumental in teaching bank managers the important nuances of interacting with high net worth individuals. These e-learning projects were tailored to staff in their individual locations across the world.

Helen has been recording training modules for scientists at Roche Pharmaceuticals for a number of years. Working for this international bank and finance institution was one of Helen’s first projects. The corporation wanted a video to showcase the benefits of becoming one of their Private Clients, so a refined and elegant read was called for. The accompanying video was breathtakingly beautiful – gorgeous close up shots of the things that the wealthy can afford: sports cars, opera, wine cellars, private jets. In trustworthy and soothing tones, Helen spoke of the rarefied life of the super rich, whilst maintaining a classy vibe.

The promotion of luxury real estate for an international market is a perfect fit for Helens sophisticated RP British accent.
